Sanquin Academy
Sanquin Academy aims to facilitate, encourage and inspire healthcare professionals to continuously develop their knowledge and skills, and thus contribute to improving the entire transfusion and blood disease-related healthcare chain. After all, by continuously learning, we can improve and innovate and we are prepared for current and future social and healthcare issues.
Life-long learning
The education, training, courses and refresher courses of the Sanquin Academy are suitable for doctors, analysts, medical specialists, clinical chemists and laboratory technicians, but also for biology teachers in secondary education. Many of Sanquin’s lectures and symposia are accredited by professional associations and can therefore be used to collect PE points. For the collaboration partners, the Academy offers workshops, masterclasses and programs on topics such as leadership, collaboration and innovation, to continue to develop skills that are indispensable in daily work.
Unique source of knowledge
The Sanquin Academy courses have been developed and taught for decades by the experts of the Sanquin Foundation. At the Sanquin Foundation, professors, researchers, analysts, product developers, quality officers and blood bank employees work side by side under the same roof. This is a unique source of current scientific and clinical knowledge. And thanks to the worldwide network of partners from science, industry and business, Sanquin is always involved in all relevant developments. Sanquin Academy is also located in the Health & Innovation District in Amsterdam. At this inspiring location, start-ups and scale-ups, the business community and knowledge institutions work together to translate scientific research into practical applications, making healthcare better and more affordable worldwide.
Dividing is multiplying
Sharing is key to solving healthcare challenges. Only by sharing knowledge can we progress together. Sanquin Academy’s training offer is constantly evolving in order to anticipate the needs of tomorrow. We like to do this with partners and are very open to co-creation with other institutes and collaborations with guest lecturers.
